A photograph can capture a moment unlike any other medium.
Having worked in the newspaper industry, there were several times where a photo so caught the hearts of readers - both in good and bad ways - that it caused them to call the newsroom and share their feelings.
A still image can be burned into someone's mind and soul in a way that a video cannot and the memory left by that image can remain in the soul for a lifetime.
I love to capture these moments. Sometimes it can be an image of an athlete soaring over the opposition, as peaceful as a child sleeping, or as breathtaking as a sunset.
